Barman II

A 1940s post-war stucco home transformed into a mid-century modern masterpiece with just a light touch. The one-story addition to the existing house included changes in floor elevation, rather than ceiling elevation, to create a seamless, open-air separation between the kitchen and sunken living room. Skylights brighten the central space from the entryway all the way to the living room, leading to an expansive outdoor patio, where the homeowners can enjoy dining al fresco. The primary bedroom suite also opens up through a sliding glass door to the backyard.
